About:

Tom Sylvester began in the days of the real Mad Men where he developed a unique ability to hear what focus groups say and find the hidden trends. He has successfully created targeted ad campaigns and complete productions for literally hundreds of products and ideas.

• Original campaign for Supercuts that helped launch the franchise into what it is today.

• National spots for Mattel Toys/Barbie sold out the product, doubled computer sales and found a place on the Smithsonian Institute Advertising Timeline in Washington, DC. 

​

• Breakthrough productions for Cabbage Patch Kids, Six Flag Parks, Pepsi, Black & Decker, Warner Bros. and that "infamous" Nintendo Power Glove spot.

Tom's creative can also be seen in Public Service spots for Helping Hands America, Guide Dogs for the Blind and AIDS Quilt Awareness. Tom is proud to have worked way back when with Harvey Milk on spots that helped defeat CA Prop. 6, the Anti-Teacher Brigg's Initiative.

Tom was educated at Pasadena Playhouse, Harbor College, LACC and Walt Disney's CalArts. After working freelance on several feature films in the US and Europe, Tom began in commercials with N. Lee Lacy in Los Angeles working with such ad wizards as Hal Riney, Benson Green, Dick Snider, Harold Becker, Tim Newman and Marilyn Barnett.

Soon after, Tom helped create the original One Pass Prod/SF.  He then joined Mars Advertising/LA as Creative Director/Producer, writing and producing ad campaigns for a wide variety of clients including: Disney, Nabisco, General Electric, Chrysler, Jello, KCBS-TV, Safeway, Princess Cruises and award winning Olympic spots for 3M/Scotch and Eveready.
 

Today, advertisers, agencies and start-ups use Tom's writing and production expertise to create breakthrough TV Spots, Promos, Corporate Videos, Pitch Videos, and Websites.
